Cheerfulness in adversity is the traditional Chinese meaning behind the chrysanthemum, and I couldn’t think of a better description for a joyful person.
Painted using walnut-based oils on gallery sized canvas (1.5 inches thick). I have painted the sides of the canvas to seamlessly continue the image so that no framing is necessary.
