The reference photo for Golden Gift was taken one evening at Butchart gardens. It was one of those magical summer evenings, with live music playing, friends laughing and the sun deliciously ever-so-slowly setting.
Painted using walnut-based oils on gallery sized canvas (1.5 inches thick). I have painted the sides of the canvas to seamlessly continue the image so that no framing is necessary.
