My Beautiful Big Sister

These tulips were just incredible in their complexity. I had a hard time naming the painting, as one tulip seems to overshadow the other. I've come to imagine the smaller one introducing us to the larger, with pride. "Meet my beautiful big sister".
Painted using walnut-based oils on gallery sized canvas (1.5 inches thick). I have painted the sides of the canvas to seamlessly continue the image so that no framing is necessary.
