Freckles

There's a light smattering of freckle-like pigment on a few of this tree peonies petals. And such a beautiful red, I'm reminded of Anne of Green gables, or two friends I had in my teens with flaming red hair and cheeks filled with freckles. Do I sound jealous? I certainly was!
Painted using walnut-based oils on gallery sized canvas (1.5 inches thick). I have painted the sides of the canvas to seamlessly continue the image so that no framing is necessary.
