Born and raised in Ontario, Janet moved to British Columbia to attend Trinity Western University and Simon Fraser University, where she earned a Bachelor of Education. She has been an art educator in many settings and has been consistently creating paintings since 2001.
Recently Janet has lived with her family in Saskatoon, and was influenced greatly by the landscape, the rich connection with land and weather, and the people of the prairies. After a few years on the North Shore of Vancouver, Janet is excited to call Vancouver island her new home.
Janet has participated in solo and group exhibitions, both in the lower mainland and in Saskatoon. Her works are held in local, national and international private collections.
